For the last eight years, VIA Insights has changed the Tableau training industry. VIA commits careful attention to teaching and learning in multiple paradigms: onsite/classroom training, self-initiated study of their publications, and consulting with their expert guild members.

VIA has now synthesized these three models in their first on-line course offering in Tableau. VIA is here to help you learn how to tell the data’s story.

From Clutter to Clarity: Tableau Training Manual, V.9. Basic Vol., 5th ed., 2015: This training manual provides 160 pages of content and is complemented by Tableau Packaged Workbooks that address the Basic / Intermediate features in 9.0 (covers 99% of 9.1, 9.2). It is in full color and in an 8.5" X 11" format so notes can be added.

From Clutter to Clarity: Tableau Training Manual, V.9. Advanced Vol., 5th ed., 2015: This 155-page training manual complements the Basic Version and includes 100 images that portray LOD, Control Charts, Calculations on Dimensions, Advanced Mapping and much more in full color. Tableau Packaged Workbooks are included.

From Clutter to Clarity: Tableau Training Manual, V.10, 2016: This is a 'how-to' Manual for basic to intermediate Users. Buyers receive Tableau Packaged Workbooks and other software aids to accelerate the learning process. This manual is the basis for self-guided learning and on-site training. There are three Tableau Packaged Workbooks with embedded URLs that provide access to additional learning content. Additional data sources are included to demonstrate new features in 10.0.

Students have access to instructors through LearnUpon.com, VIA’s Learning Management System partner. Responses to course-related questions can be expected within 24-48 hours.

Referred to as Tableau Packaged Workbooks, these Tableau software files are provided to each student. Each of these files complements the hard copy manual page by page.

Trainees’ acquisition of new knowledge and skills are evaluated through tests that occur after each section of the training (three sections – three tests). At VIA, we seek to reinforce learning as a continuing practice.

  • "I have worked with VIA and Larry Keller over the years while at separate financial institutions. The quality of training, documentation, attention to detail, and follow-up was beyond our expectations. Based on our in-person experience, we are now considering VIA's online training for our new employees. With VIA Insights and Larry Keller, I can be certain that the content, delivery, and support will be second to none"

Mark L. Mullins | Director of Data Strategy and Risk Analytics United Community Bank.
  • "Larry was a godsend to my agency as he taught us how to corral massive amounts disparate data into something manageable and more importantly, meaningful to our department. Larry’s keen grasp of the types of problems that confront government agencies today coupled with his in-depth understanding of data visualization methods, applications and techniques, allowed us (for the first time) to see what our data truly represented. Larry is a very patient listener who is able to work with a range of skill sets from new users to the most experienced technicians. Above all, Larry is committed to the customer’s overall success and going the extra mile to him is simply standard operating procedure."

Rene Snowden | CIO at Housing & Community Development
  • "My interaction with Mr. Keller during my tenure at Fannie Mae convinced me that Larry is a very focused and disciplined individual who delivers on all that he promises. He is personable and intent on providing a wholesome customer experience. I recommend and support Larry in his current and future endeavors."
